The Euromillions is a Europe-wide lottery with huge jackpots, draws are held weekly every Friday evening in Paris and it differs to many lotteries in the way it’s played.

The Euromillions ticket has four sets of numbered boxes called board. Each board is split into two sections, a main board to the left and the lucky stars part to the right. To play you must choose five numbers on the left hand board between one and fifty then choose two lucky stars numbers between one and nine on the lucky stars board.
Tickets cost £1.50 or €2 each depending on which country you purchase your ticket in and like our own National Lottery you can also choose the lucky dip option where the terminal chooses your numbers for you at random.
There are twelve different ways to win the Euromillions lottery. Secure the jackpot by matching all five main numbers and two lucky stars or win the second prize by matching five main numbers and one lucky star. There are also prizes for five main numbers, four numbers and so forth all the way down to a small prize for matching one main number and two lucky stars or two main numbers and one lucky star.
While many of the smaller prizes give quite good returns the sheer possibilities of numbers makes the Euromillions lottery one of the most difficult in Europe to win. Odds of winning the jackpot stand at around one in seventy-three million which means the lottery has regular rollovers and superdraws with jackpots as high as £100 million!
